Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup green tea brewed and slightly cooled – not hot
  • Juice of ½ fresh lime
  • ½ teaspoon fresh grated ginger about 1 inch
  • Optional: pinch of cinnamon
  • Optional: 1–2 drops stevia or monk fruit extract
  • Optional garnish: mint leaves or lime slice

Equipment

  • Kettle or pot (for brewing tea)
  • Citrus juicer or a fork (for squeezing lime)
  • Fine grater (for ginger)
  • Mug or glass
  • Spoon or small whisk

Method
 

  1. Brew green tea using hot water (not boiling). Steep for 3–5 minutes. Let cool to warm (~120°F or 50°C).
  2. Pour tea into a large mug or glass.
  3. Squeeze in the juice of ½ lime, making sure to remove seeds.
  4. Add ½ teaspoon of freshly grated ginger.
  5. Stir well for 30 seconds to allow flavors to combine.
  6. Optionally, add a pinch of cinnamon or natural sweetener.
  7. Garnish with fresh mint or a lime slice if desired.
  8. Serve warm or at room temperature and enjoy immediately.

Notes

Do not use powdered ginger or bottled lime juice—freshness makes all the difference.
Best consumed on an empty stomach for gentle detox effects.
Can be prepared the night before and served warm the next morning.
For a stronger flavor, let it sit for 2–3 minutes before drinking.
